Why has my car’s airbag light come on?

The most common reason for the airbag light coming on is because you’ve turned the car on; it should automatically go off after a few seconds but if it doesn’t, you can try turning the car off and then back on again as this is often enough to reset the light. If you do that and the light remains illuminated, then this indicates that there’s an issue that will probably need to be resolved by a trained mechanic, such as the team at Mill Road Motors.

Can I drive if the airbag light is on?

Technically, it’s not illegal to drive with the airbag light illuminated but it’s certainly not recommended as its whole purpose is to keep you safe.
